Day 01: Bali-Bromo
I meet you at your Bali hotel after you’re had breakfast, then we will drive to the west coast of Bali, stopping at Bunut Bolong (a interesting sacred tree that provides great photo opportunities) before visiting the Perancak river to look at the small traditional Jukung and Sampan boats that were brought to Bali by the Bugis seaferes at the end of the 17th century (a truly unique and beautiful experience). From Perancak we continue along the west coast to Gilimanuk and take a 45 minute ferry trip to the port of Ketapang on the island of Java. In Java we continue to drive through to Gunung Penanjakan to over night before waking early to enjoy a beautiful looking at a beautiful Mount Bromo sunrise. You will want to keep your camera clicking as the scenes continue to amaze.
Day 02: Bromo.
After our beautiful sunrise at Mount Penanjakan we will drive through the massive (9x10km) Tengger Caldera also referred to as the sand-sea caldera before hiking up to the Mount Bromo crater for even more incredibly, breathtakingly, beautiful sights and some not so beautiful smells. Volcanoes often release bursts of hydrogen sulphide gas (smells like rotten eggs) so be prepared, maybe get a gas mask before you come if your very sensitive.
Day 03: Bromo – Banyuwangi
Another amazing Sunrise appreciated, this time at Bromo it’s time to drive to the surreal Madakaripura Waterfalls for yet another enchanting assault on our senses and up until recently these waterfalls were a hidden secret, a place few overseas visitors ventured, so it is something very special. After all this adventure we drive to our hotel in Kalibaru (West Banyuwangi) for a well deserved rest.
Day 04: Banyuwangi – Bali
Breakfast and then back to Bali by ferry. In Bali we head north west and visit Pemuteran Village, (to see the Pulaki Hindu Temple) Lovina, Munduk waterfall and Beratan Lake and the Jatiluwih rice fields before i drop you back at your Hotel.
